Catching up after time away
Come back after a stretch away and two things are behind: the balances PropStax holds, and the payouts and costs that moved while you were gone. Working in this order means the sync does part of the logging for you instead of you entering it twice.
The order
-
Sync each broker connection. Open Sync in the sidebar and run it per connection. Rithmic and DxFeed prompt for credentials every time; Tradovate does not, because its authorization persists.
-
Resolve any balance adjustments the sync raises. When a sync finds a balance change it cannot account for, it opens the Balance adjustments review. Answer each one (Payout, Same as a payout I entered, Broker correction or credit, or Dismiss), and for a payout, enter the profit split.
-
Check the Dashboard for stale accounts. An account whose last sync is more than 24 hours old shows an amber stale timestamp instead of synced. That means the broker did not return it on the last run — either the sync missed it, or the broker dropped the account. The Missing accounts prompt is where you set its real status.
-
Log the payouts the sync did not catch. Open Financials and add what is missing with Add payout. For one payment covering several funded accounts, use the split mode; for a payment you do not want attributed per account, use Broker total.
-
Log the costs. Same page, Add cost — eval purchases, resets, subscriptions, data fees. Broker-wide charges that belong to no single account use Broker total here too.
Where the result shows up
Once everything is in, the same figures appear across the app:
| Surface | What it now reflects |
|---|---|
| Reports → Firms | Net per broker — received minus spent — over the period you select |
| Calendar in Cash flow mode | The days money moved, so a payout or cost logged against the wrong date is visible |
| Financials | The full ledger, newest first |
The Calendar check is the one that catches data-entry errors: a cost sitting on a day you were not trading is usually a mistyped date.
