Rithmic (every-sync prompt)

Rithmic doesn’t offer OAuth. PropStax connects by submitting your username and password to Rithmic each time you sync, and we never store them — so you’ll be prompted for credentials on every sync run.

Each sync

  1. Go to Sync in the sidebar.
  2. Pick Rithmic as the data feed.
  3. Pick your broker from the list.
  4. The gateway selector defaults to Chicago Area. Leave it unless you know you need a different one.
  5. Enter your Rithmic username and password.
  6. Toggle the consent checkbox to confirm you’re authorizing the access.
  7. Click Sign in & fetch accounts.

PropStax fetches the list of accounts available on your Rithmic login and takes you to the account picker.

Session-quota gate

Rithmic limits how many places you can be logged in at the same time. If you’re already logged in elsewhere — your trading platform, another Rithmic session, or even a recent PropStax sync that hasn’t fully released yet — you’ll see a session-conflict notice before you can continue.

You have two options:

  • Continue anyways — PropStax shares the slot. Works fine, but heads-up the other session may behave oddly.
  • Cancel — close the other Rithmic session first, then come back.

If you’re sure you’re not logged in elsewhere and you’re still seeing the gate, it’s likely a recent PropStax sync that hasn’t released yet. Wait a minute and try again, or just continue.
