Bulk-create from scratch
Use this mode when you don’t have a spreadsheet — just an outline of “I had 30 Apex 50K evals, 20 of them blown, 10 closed.” Bulk-create lets you generate any number of accounts from one row of specs.
Steps
- Go to Import in the sidebar.
- Choose Bulk-create from scratch.
- Add rows. Each row is a spec; PropStax generates as many accounts as you ask for.
- Fill in the fields per row (see below).
- Click Continue when all rows are complete.
Per-row fields
Required:
- Broker — picked per row, so you can mix brokers across rows.
- Type — Evaluation, Funded, or S2F (where the broker supports it).
- Status — Blown, Closed, Passed, or Expired. (Bulk-create only generates historical/terminal accounts, never active ones.)
- Count — how many accounts to generate from this row. Heads up: a single row generates many accounts, not many data fields. Setting Count = 50 creates 50 accounts with identical specs. You can go up to 500 per row.
Optional:
- Data feed — Tradovate, Rithmic, DxFeed, WealthCharts, Project-X, or None. Just metadata; doesn’t connect anything live.
- Size — account size from the standard prop-firm dropdown (10K, 25K, 50K, etc.).
- Total cost — total dollars spent across all
Countaccounts. PropStax shows the per-account average as a hint. - DD type — End of day, Trailing, Static, or None.
- Max DD — drawdown dollar limit.
- Tags — up to 2 tags per row. Each generated account inherits all the row’s tags.
Why no “active” status
Bulk-create is for historical accounts. If you have an active account, use Sync instead. If your broker doesn’t support a data feed, use Upload a spreadsheet — that mode does let you record currently-active accounts manually.
Per-row tags
Each row has its own tag input. Tags apply to every account generated from that row. So if Row 1 has tag 2024-q1 and Count = 30, all 30 accounts come tagged 2024-q1.
To tag a single account differently after import, just open it and tag it from the Account detail page.
