Exporting your data

PropStax can hand you a copy of everything it has stored about you, any time you want it. Use this for backups, switching tools, or before deleting your account.

Where to download

Go to Settings → Privacy. You get two ways to pull your data: export everything, or grab a targeted download.

Export everything

  • Excel — a friendly, re-importable workbook (.xlsx) with Accounts, Withdrawals, Snapshots, and Costs sheets — everything PropStax has stored about you. Opens directly in Excel, Numbers, or Sheets.

Targeted downloads

Targeted downloads include a broker scope selector, so you can limit the file to one broker, several, or all of them:

  • Financials (Excel) — every account of the selected broker(s) plus a Withdrawals sheet, in the same layout as the upload template (one row per dated cost).
  • Daily P&L (CSV) — your daily P&L history.
  • Snapshots (CSV) — one row per trading day per synced account.

The Financials Excel matches the upload template

The Financials Excel is written in the exact upload-template layout, so you can export → edit → re-upload. It leads with a Broker column (the broker’s display name) and is organized by broker, then by activation date (newest first). Every date column is a real Excel date cell shown as mm/dd/yyyy, so dates sort and re-import correctly.

Filenames

Each file is date-stamped (e.g. ending in YYYY-MM-DD), so you can keep multiple snapshots in the same folder without overwriting.

How long it takes

A few seconds for a small account. Larger histories (years of daily snapshots across many accounts) can take 10–30 seconds. The button shows a “Preparing…” state until your file is ready to download.
