Adding a cost

Click Add cost from any of these places:

  • The Financials page header.
  • The Financial history card on any Account detail page.

The popup opens. Pick the broker, then a category and mode.

Categories

The most-used:

  • Evaluation — eval fees, the initial cost to start an eval.
  • Reset — reset fees when an eval gets reset.
  • Subscription — recurring platform or data subscriptions.
  • Other — anything that doesn’t fit a specific category.

Less common:

  • Activation / S2F — funded-account activation fees, Sim-to-Funded transition fees.
  • Data feed — third-party market data subscriptions.
  • Platform fee — broker platform charges separate from the eval.
  • Refund — refunds you received from the broker. Use a negative amount.

Individual mode

  • Account — pick the account, or (no specific account) for a broker-wide cost.
  • Amount ($) — the cost. Negative numbers allowed (for refunds).
  • Date — defaults to today, or to the account start date if you opened the popup from an account detail page.
  • Note — optional, up to 120 characters. Shows in the ledger row.

To log several charges for the same account in one go, click + Add another charge. Each charge gets its own Date and Amount ($) row, and all of them save together against the account you picked.

Bulk mode

Same as bulk payouts: pick accounts, pick same-per-account or lump-sum, enter the amount, pick a date strategy (single date for all, or each account uses its start date), preview, save.

The same dedup behavior applies: if an account already has a matching cost this month, PropStax skips it and flags yellow. Check Override dedup to force-create.

Broker total mode

A single cost row attributed to the broker as a whole, not any specific account. Use when you have a broker-level charge that doesn’t map cleanly to one account (e.g., an annual platform fee that covers everything).
