Browsing brokers
The Brokers page (in the sidebar) is your full broker rolodex. Every prop firm you have accounts with shows up here as a card.
Prop and Personal brokers
If you track a personal (real-money) account, the Prop / Personal switch at the top of the sidebar changes what this page shows. In Prop mode it’s your prop firms, described below. In Personal mode it becomes your personal brokers: each card shows the broker’s balance and profit/loss history, and clicking one opens a personal broker detail page — account value, net P&L, deposits, fees, drawdown, and the broker’s account list — instead of the prop eval/payout layout. From there you can click an account to open its own personal account detail. Prop-only users never see the switch and always see the prop rolodex below.
How the cards are ordered
Cards are sorted by trading P&L descending — the broker you’re making the most money on sits at the top, the broker you’re losing on sits at the bottom. Brokers with no active accounts fall to the end and sort alphabetically among themselves. The Dashboard’s broker grid uses the same order, so scanning the two pages lands on the same priority list.
If you’d rather see them in your own order, see Organize mode below.
What’s on a broker card
The top of each card is split into two sections:
- Left — live P&L. Your current trading P&L across this broker’s active accounts.
- Right — overall profitability. Net of payouts received minus costs spent, with Received and Spent broken out beneath it for context.
Below that, each card shows:
- The broker name and logo.
- Active account count (out of lifetime total).
- Pass rate.
- Date you started with this broker.
- Last sync timestamp.
Click the card header to open the broker detail page. Click Show accounts on a card to expand the account list inline without leaving the page — the expanded list is ordered most-recently-active first.
Search
The search box at the top filters brokers in real time. You can search by:
- Account name (or your custom alias)
- Broker account ID (the broker’s identifier for the account)
- PropStax account ID
As you type, brokers without matching accounts drop out of view, and matching counts appear next to the broker header.
Organize mode
Want a different order than the default trading-P&L sort? Click Organize broker cards at the top of the page to enter organize mode.
- Cards become draggable. Pick one up and drop it where you want it.
- Click Save to persist your custom order. It survives reloads and shows the same order on the Dashboard’s broker grid.
- Click Reset to clear your custom order and return to the trading-P&L default.
Organize mode is desktop-only — drag doesn’t work well on phones. Mobile respects whatever order you set on desktop.
How accounts end up here
Brokers only appear if you have at least one account with them. Accounts come from two places:
- Sync — live broker accounts pulled in from a connected data feed. The Sync Accounts pill in the sidebar opens the sync wizard.
- Import — historical accounts you’ve backfilled by hand. The Upload pill (directly under Sync Accounts in the sidebar) opens the import wizard.
If a broker isn’t showing up, you haven’t connected or imported any accounts from them yet.
Broker detail page
Click a broker card to open its detail page — one page per broker, showing every account you have with them broken into two sections: Active (still trading) and Inactive (passed, blown, closed, expired, archived).
Per-section filters
Above each section’s account list, you’ll find filter chips when there’s more than one value to filter by:
- Status chips — only show on the Inactive section, since the Active section has only one possible status. Click a status chip (e.g., Blown) to narrow that section to just blown accounts.
- Tag chips — only show when accounts in the section have user tags applied. Click chips to filter to accounts carrying any of the selected tags.
Filters are independent per section. The Active section’s filter chips don’t affect the Inactive section. The count next to the section title changes to “N of M” while filters are active.
Per-section pagination
Each section paginates independently. Pick 5, 10, or 25 accounts per page from the dropdown at the bottom of the section. Your choice sticks across sessions and applies to both sections (and to the Brokers-page card list too).
When you toggle a filter chip, the page resets to 1 within that section.
Bulk status edit
Each section has an Edit status button in its header. Click it to enter selection mode for that section:
- Each account row gets a checkbox prefix. Click anywhere on a row to toggle selection (the normal “click to open the account” behavior is paused while you’re selecting).
- A sticky footer appears at the bottom showing the selection count and an action button.
- Click the action button to open the status-edit popup. Pick a new status — Active, Passed, Blown, Closed, or Keep Active — and (for terminal statuses) a termination date.
- Save applies the new status to every selected account in one shot. PropStax exits selection mode automatically.
Only one section can be in edit mode at a time. The other section’s Edit status button hides until you exit, so the two lists never cross-edit.
Account rows
Each row shows the account name (or your alias), status pill, tags, recent net P&L, and a sync timestamp. Click any row (outside selection mode) to open the Account detail page; PropStax remembers where you came from so the back link there returns you to this broker’s detail page rather than the broker list.
