Account detail walkthrough

The Account detail page is the deep view of a single account. You land here by clicking an account anywhere — from the Dashboard, the Brokers page, or the Broker detail page.

The back link at the top returns you to wherever you came from. If you arrived from a specific broker’s detail page, the back link reads with that broker’s name and takes you back to that broker. If you arrived from a bookmark or a direct link, it falls back to the Brokers list.

This walkthrough covers a prop firm account. A personal (real-money) account opens its own, simpler detail page focused on money and balance — account value, net P&L, deposits, fees, and drawdown — without the eval, liquidation, and profit-target cards below, which are prop-firm concepts that don’t apply to real money.

The page has a lot of cards. Here’s what each one is for, top to bottom.

Sticky status bar

The colored bar that stays at the top of the screen as you scroll. It shows your liquidation buffer — how far the current balance is from the broker’s liquidation level, both in dollars and as a percentage. Color goes green → amber → red as the buffer thins.

The block right under the sticky bar. It shows the account name, status, broker, account type, data feed, and start date.

Click the account name to rename it. A popup opens where you can type a custom display name — useful when broker names are cryptic (e.g., renaming “APX-123456” to “Apex 50k #3”). Clear the field and save to revert to the broker’s name.

The status indicator next to the name shows whether the account is active, passed, blown, or closed. A small pencil icon sits next to the status — click it any time to open the status-edit popup.

The popup lets you pick a new status (Active, Passed, Blown, Closed, or Keep Active). When you pick a terminal status (Passed, Blown, or Closed), an End date input appears — it defaults to today, but you can back-date it if the account actually ended earlier. Picking Active reactivates a previously-terminated account and clears its end date — useful when a broker reinstated an account PropStax had marked blown.

The Tags button expands an inline tag input. Type a tag name and hit Enter to apply it. See Tags & filtering below.

Key metrics grid

Eight tiles in a grid:

  • Balance — current balance reported by the broker.
  • Account size — the starting size of the evaluation or funded account.
  • Net P&L — Balance minus Account size.
  • Day P&L — today’s P&L. Shows ”—” when the current trading day has no data yet (see Day P&L shows ”—”).
  • Remaining DD — how much drawdown room you have left.
  • Consistency — your greatest single profit day as a percentage of your net P&L for the current payout cycle (the days since your last payout). A lower percentage means profit is spread across more days, which is what the prop-firm consistency rule rewards. Shown to two decimals.
  • Trades — total trades on this account.
  • Trading days — number of days you’ve actually traded.

Evaluation progress card

Only appears for evaluation accounts. Two progress bars:

  • Profit target — how close you are to passing.
  • Drawdown used — how much of your drawdown allowance you’ve consumed.

Performance KPI row

A grid of headline trading stats for the duration you’ve selected (see the duration selector on the Equity curve card below). Tiles include:

  • Net P&L, Win days %, and Days traded over the window.
  • Avg hold time, Profit factor, and Commission % (commission as a share of gross).
  • Expectancy / trade — your average net P&L per trade (not per day).
  • Avg winning day — your average net P&L across days that closed net positive.
  • Avg losing day — your average net P&L across days that closed net negative.

Each tile carries a sparkline showing the day-by-day trend within the window.

Equity curve card

A chart of your account over time. Three lines:

  • P&L (solid) — your trading P&L, day by day. Doesn’t move when you take payouts.
  • Balance (dotted) — your actual balance over time, including payout dips. When you take a payout, this line drops; the P&L line doesn’t.
  • Liquidation floor (dashed red) — where the broker would liquidate the account on that day. Moves over time on trailing-drawdown accounts.

The dropdown at the top of the card switches between Daily, Weekly, and Monthly granularity. Your selected duration is remembered the next time you open the page. Hover any point to see the date, P&L, balance, liquidation floor, and any payout that posted that day.

Account analytics card

Only appears once the account has trades. Three sub-cards:

  • Performance — win rate, average win, average loss, profit factor, best/worst day.
  • Consistency — total trades, trades per day, lifetime consistency (your best day as a percentage of total net P&L over the whole account, shown to two decimals), and win and loss streaks.
  • Top symbols — the 5 symbols with the biggest absolute P&L impact (your biggest winners and your biggest losers, both surface here).

Financial history card

The ledger of every cost and payout you’ve recorded against this account. Rows are sorted newest-first.

  • Add cost — opens the cost entry popup.
  • Add payout — only shown on funded accounts (evals don’t take payouts).

Each row has an edit and delete icon. Edit lets you correct an entry; delete removes it.

Daily journal card

Only appears once the account has trades. One row per trading day with the date, net P&L, trade count, best win, worst loss, commission, and end-of-day balance. Newest first. Use the page-size dropdown to control how many days you see at once.

Danger zone

The Delete account button. Opens a confirmation popup that requires you to type DELETE to enable the action. Deleting an account removes it and every snapshot, cost, and payout tied to it. It cannot be undone.
