The Personal dashboard

Real-money (personal) accounts live on their own Personal dashboard, separate from your prop firm accounts. It answers a different question than the prop side: not “how close am I to passing or blowing an eval,” but “how is my actual money doing.”

Switching between Prop Firm and Personal

If you have both a prop firm account and a personal account, a Prop / Personal switch sits at the very top of the sidebar — above the navigation, so it’s reachable from every page, not just the dashboard. Click Personal to put PropStax in personal mode, Prop to go back; the selected side is marked with a colored border. When the sidebar is collapsed to icons, the switch becomes a single button that flips between the two. On mobile the sidebar is hidden, so the same switch lives in the controls tab on the right edge of the screen — tap the tab to open View (the Prop / Personal switch), Theme, and Sync / Upload. If you only have one kind of account, there’s nothing to switch and the control stays hidden.

It’s one global setting: flip it and the Dashboard, the Brokers page, the Calendar, the Financials page, and their detail pages all switch to the matching side. PropStax remembers your choice, so it carries across pages and survives logging out and back in. On the Dashboard, flipping it swaps between the Prop-Firm and Personal dashboards.

Everything on the Personal side is walled off from prop: personal balances never mix into your prop firm totals, Net cash flow, or per-firm comparisons.

Account overview

The top of the Personal dashboard is four cards summarizing your real money:

  • Account value — your current net liquidation value across personal accounts.
  • Net P&L with Fees — realized profit or loss since you started, after all commissions and fees. It’s your balance minus what you’ve deposited — the honest bottom line.
  • Net deposits — total deposits minus withdrawals. The gap between this and Account value is your actual gain or loss.
  • Today’s P&L — realized profit or loss for the current session. It reads when PropStax doesn’t have this session’s data yet — before the day’s first sync, or on a day the market never opened — and notes the last session it does have. That’s expected: it won’t show you the previous session’s number dressed up as today’s.

Personal Brokers

Just below those four cards, a card per personal broker showing its current balance and a small chart of its cumulative profit/loss history (your positive/negative performance over time — not the balance). A Liquidate only badge appears if the broker has put an account in liquidate-only mode.

If you have more than one personal broker, Organize personal brokers (desktop only) lets you drag the cards into your own order. It’s saved separately from your prop firm card order, so the two never affect each other.

Equity Curve

A full-width chart with two lines plus capital-flow markers:

  • Trading P&L (solid) — your cumulative trading result over time, with deposits stripped out, so a capital injection doesn’t fake a jump. It’s colored green while you’re cumulatively in the green and red while you’re underwater, flipping at the $0 line.
  • Account value (dotted) — your balance over time. The gap between the two lines is your net deposits.
  • Deposits / Withdrawals — blue dots mark the points where you moved cash in or out, so a step in the account-value line is explained rather than mysterious. Hover a dot to see the amount. They’re keyed in the legend below the chart.

Switch between Daily, Weekly, and Monthly views, and choose a range (1M / 3M / 1Y / ALL). Your chosen view and range stick for the rest of your session.

Capital & Fees and Drawdown

Below the equity curve, two cards break down the detail behind your headline numbers:

  • Capital & Fees — deposits, withdrawals, and fees broken out on their own lines.
  • Drawdown from peak P&L — how far your trading is below its best-ever point. This tracks trading performance, not account value, so a deposit never counts as a new peak. With more than one personal account you get a column per account, each measured against its own peak — your accounts don’t hit their worst moments on the same day, so one blended number would flatter or exaggerate the real picture.

Trading Summary

The trade-level view of your real-money trading, all reconciled against your broker’s cash history:

  • Realized P&L — gross trading result before fees.
  • Commission / Fees — total commission plus exchange/clearing/NFA fees.
  • Win rate and Profit factor — trade-weighted, across all your closed trades.
  • Totals — total trades, gross profit, gross loss, Commission / Fees (your per-trade commission plus exchange/clearing/NFA fees), and Broker fees (non-trading charges like data subscriptions and liquidation fees, kept separate from per-trade costs).
  • By symbol — a per-instrument breakdown of trades, win rate, and realized P&L.

Drilling into a broker or account

Each Personal Brokers card is clickable — open it for that broker’s own detail page: the same account value, net P&L, deposits, fees, and drawdown, scoped to just that broker, plus a list of the broker’s accounts. Click an account in that list to open its detail page with the same money/balance view for the single account — followed by that account’s full Trades journal: every round-trip newest-first, with entry, exit, size, direction, duration, its full cost (commission + exchange/clearing/NFA fees), and net P&L — paging 25, 50, or 100 at a time. (You can reach the same personal broker detail from the Brokers page in the sidebar while in Personal mode.)

If you’re holding anything, an Open positions card lists each open contract — direction (long/short), size, average entry price, and when you opened it — with the account’s Unrealized P&L as of your last sync. It appears on the account detail, the Personal dashboard, and a Personal day on the Calendar, and hides when you’re flat. The card mirrors your last sync: close a position and it clears the next time you sync. Per-position live P&L isn’t shown (PropStax doesn’t run a live price feed), and the unrealized total can read right after the session rolls over, until your broker republishes it — re-sync to refresh.

You’ll find the same Trades list scoped to a period on any Personal day, week, or month in the Calendar. The dashboard- and account-level numbers here are complete and reconcile to the penny against your broker’s cash history.
